National Ambassador System

I’m a double bassist, composer and arranger from Poland, based in Wrocław. I study two fields of music - jazz double bass and classical composition at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, where I am currently a president of the Student’s Government. Apart of that I study information management at the University of Wrocław.

During my master’s degree I spent one semester in Musikene - Superior Music Conservatory of the Basque Autonomous Community. I also participated twice in AEC Pop and Jazz Platform in Pamplona and Helsinki, where I had a pleasure to meet some of the EPASA student representatives.

I believe that we should connect all students of performing arts around the world to create community, gain experience, inspiration and connect each other through art.

Justina Vaitkute is a Lithuanian contralto born and raised in Rome, now based in Austria, whose work connects international vocal performance with institutional leadership. She is completing her Master's in Performance Practice in Contemporary Music at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz. The 2025 winner of the Fundación Salvat Bach award in Barcelona, she performs regularly as a soloist with Baroque ensembles across Europe and at major platforms including the Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik, the Handel Festival Karlsruhe, the Festival della Valle d'Itria, and the Bayreuth Festival. Her work includes recordings for Naxos Deutschland and Arcana, with broadcasts on ARD, SWR, and Rai Radio 3. Reflecting her commitment to advocacy, cultural dialogue and artistic leadership, her recent engagements include a Red Cross concert at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona. Justina served as President of the Student Union of the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz from 2023 to 2025, initiated a "Safe Spaces" project at her university, and is a Classical:NEXT 2026 Fellow.

I’m Bodil, a Norwegian vocalist and songwriter currently studying Rhythmic Music Performance at NLA University College in Oslo.

Outside of music, I'm always eager to try new things. I love travelling and exploring new places, but I'm just as happy spending an evening with a good book, knitting in front of the TV, or catching up with friends. Most importantly, Hannah Montana remains one of my biggest inspirations.

Having grown up in different parts of the world, I've always admired the way the arts transcend languages and cultural differences with a unique way of bringing people together. As an EPASA National Ambassador, I’m excited to connect with Norwegian performing arts students and help ensure their voices are represented within the wider European community. I look forward to strengthening relationships between institutions, encouraging student participation, and contributing to EPASA's mission of building a connected and inclusive network for performing arts students across Europe.

Fiona Zimmermann is a recorder player, music educator and student representative currently studying at the University of Music Nuremberg, Germany. Her artistic practice spans historical and contemporary repertoire, new concert formats and artistic research, with performances and broadcasts for Bayerischer Rundfunk and collaborations with composers including Dai Fujikura, Karola Obermüller and Natalie Roe. She is completing a Master’s degree in Music Pedagogy, following undergraduate studies in recorder and an Erasmus exchange at the Royal College of Music Stockholm. Alongside her artistic and educational work, she serves as Chair of the Student Council and contributes to university committees on internationalisation, digitalisation, sustainability and institutional development. As an instrumental teacher and workshop facilitator, she works at the intersection of music pedagogy, digital tools and AI. Her interests include student participation, interdisciplinary collaboration and inclusive, future-oriented approaches to performing arts education.

Titas Šūmakaris is a Music Industry and Management student at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. He is an active member of the university community, serving as a Social and Academic Affairs Coordinator and a member of the LMTA Student Union Council. In addition to this, he creates artistic projects, organizes festivals and concerts, works with Lithuanian artists, and produces his own music.
